Cole 5 1/2 Months

Cole is 5 1/2 months now. Wow has time flown by! He is getting so much easier and he is so happy. He is always smiling and laughing. He still spits up and drools like crazy. He is starting to sit up by himself now and is rolling everywhere! His favorite thing to do watch Halle play and he loves it when she plays with him.

I got Halle and Cole's pictures taken a couple of weeks ago. Getting two kids pictures taken is a little more stressful, especially when you are trying to get them together. I do wish Mandy could have taken them but has hard to getting up to Logan to do it.

Finally, Halle is not afraid of the water anymore! She has always been very timid about getting in the water. So, I thought that there was no way I was going to be able to go swimming this year with her and Cole. But we went to St. George a couple of weeks ago and she did great by herself with a life jacket. Yea!!

Easter!

We had a great Easter. On Saturday our neighborhood had an East Egg Hunt. The Easter bunny came and they also had face painting. After that we headed up to Logan to spend the weekend with Toph's family. We had a couple of Easter Egg hunts and also had a yummy dinner. It was a fun weekend and it was good to see Toph's family.

Spring break in St. George

My sister and I decided to take our kids to to St. George for the week of spring break. The weather was perfect! We were able to sit outside and just be in the sun. At this time of year I get so sick of winter and just need some sun but of course it is way to cold to be outside. So we did a lot of swimming, playing at the park and of course we fit in a little shopping. Instead of going to restaurants we ordered in yummy take it and so ended up being a pretty relaxing vacation. Cole did awesome down there and he was an angel on the drive.

We blessed Cole last week, Finally! I know he is almost 4 months old but we were waiting for warmer weather and for there not to be as much sickness. Well, the day before his blessing we all got colds. So much good it did us waiting. Cole and I didn't get it that bad but Toph and Halle got it really bad. Anyway it went really well and it was great having both of our families there. Thanks to Toph's family for driving down to be here for it.

When he smiles now he sticks his tounge out. It is the cutest, funniest thing!

Halle was being so stubburn about taking a picture. She would not look at the camera or smile. So we could not get a good family picture.

Halle turned 3yrs old! We had a little birthday party for her and it was so cute! She is OBSESSED with birthday parties so we had to throw her one. She had a Dora Princess party. Everything turned out great except the fact that she had a really bad cold and she didn't feel very good but she still had a blast!

Disneyland Vacation!

We just got back from Disneyland and we had a great time! We had the best weather. I was a little worried before we had left because it had been raining there but every day was awesome weather. We went to Disneyland that first day and Halle loved going to see all of the Disney Characters. I was a little worried that she wouldn't want to go on any of the rides but she rode everything she was tall enough to go on. She even went on the Matter Horn which I thought she would freak out but she loved it! The second day we went to California Adventure for the first half of the day. She loved the Toy Story Ride the best there. We then went back to Disneyland the second half of the day and Halle gave her Binkys to Mickey Mouse. (I know she is a little old to still have a Binky and I have been wanting to get rid of the Binky for a long time. We got rid of it for the most part when she turned two but then I got pregnant and that all went out the door. Then I had Cole and there was no way I was going to take it away then, so finally with no more excuses we had her give all of her Binkys to Mickey Mouse and now she is officially done with the Binky! Yea!!)

On the 3rd day we drove down to San Diego and went to Sea World. I was a little disappointed because the people don't get into the water with Shamu anymore. Halle had a great time there though. The last day we went to the Wild Animal Park and the Beach. I think that the part of the trip Halle wanted to do the most was going to the beach and making a sand castle and making sand angels. She did so good and Cole did pretty good himself (I was surprised). We had a great time and I am so glad we went. I was a little worried to go taking a 3 month old and all but it turned out great!

The Tea Cups were her favorite ride! She wanted to go on them over and over again. Toph was a good sport. He went with her every time because the Tea Cups make me sick.

I think she was a little sad because she just gave Mickey her Binky's.

I took Cole to his 2 month appointment last week and he is doing great! He is in the 92% for his weight and height. He is now 14.1lbs and 24.5inches. I can't believe how fast he is growing! He is getting easier, sleeping way better and more content when he is awake. He is also smiling and laughing a ton.

Halle is Potty Trained!!!!!! Well for the most part. She hasn't had an accident for about a week now. I would have never chosen to potty train her with a six week old baby, but she woke up one morning and didn't want to wear diapers anymore. So I figured if she is insisting on being potty trained then I might as well do it. It was a struggle at first. It took her 4 days for her to go pee on the toilet for the first time, but once she did it, she pretty much got the hang of it and has only had a couple of accidents since. I can't believe how fast she has grown up. I love the age she is at. She is so fun!

Halle falls asleep in the weirdest places. I put her in her bed and came back a while later to turn off her light and this is where she was.

My awesome sister-in-law Mandy took the cutest pictures of Halle and she is so good at it! She takes the best pictures and she does it professionally. You should definitely look at her blog, it is footprints-photo.blogspot.com. This is probably going to be a long post but I liked so many of them. Just so you know Halle was such a pain while taking these pictures. She didn't corporate at all. She wanted me to hold her hand the whole time and wouldn't look at the camera ever. So most of these are candid ones, but those are my favorite.

Well I am 35 weeks and almost done! I usually don't post any pregnancy pictures because I feel so gross and ugly when I am pregnant but I thought why not. I am very excited because I went to the doctors and they let me schedule my Induction date! So I will have this baby on December 7th if he doesn't come sooner. That is four weeks away! It is so nice to get this date because I can see an official end in sight. This pregnancy has been a lot harder on my body then with Halle. I don't know if it is because I am having a boy or I am a couple years older but I am so ready to be done. I am ready to be done with the constant heartburn, nausea, sciatic nerve pain, and tiredness. Don't get me wrong though, I am so so so so grateful that I am able to get pregnant and on the bright side all of those symptoms disappear when you have the baby, except for the tiredness, I think that gets worse!

We had a great Halloween this year even with the pouring rain. Halle was so excited to go trick or treating and dress up in her costume and she had a blast! We first went to the mall to trick or treat because of the pouring rain. It started to get really crowded towards the end but Halle loved it. We then went back home and went around our neighborhood. She did not want to stop even though it was rainy and cold. When we got home she dumped out all of her candy on the floor and sorted through it like kids do and it was so cute but it made me a little sad because she is growing up so fast. I still think of her as my little baby.
We also had our friends Andrew and Lindsay and Whit and Tennille and their kids over after, which was a lot of fun. We played games and hung out. We don't get together very often any more so it was good to see them.

Toy Story 3 3D

We took Halle to Toy Story 3 3D. We waited until it was at the dollar show so because we knew she wouldn't last the whole time. She loved wearing the glasses and lasted over an hour which I thought was pretty good for a 2yr old.

CornBelly Maze at Thanksgiving Point

We took Halle to the CornBelly Maze at Thanksgiving Point. They had so much fun stuff to do besides the maze. They had bounce houses, a trampoline type thing that Halle is jumping on in the picture, pig races (which was Halle's favorite part), hay rides, a little haunted house, fire pits everywhere and a lot more. Of course she was afraid of everything and didn't want to go anything until we started to leave. She then worked up the courage to do some of the stuff. We had a lot of fun!

They had the coolest carved pumpkins but you can't really tell by the picture how intricate the carving were. I was impressed.

Best Sister Ever!

I just have to say that I have the best sister ever! I have been in A LOT of pain these last couple of weeks with my sciatic nerve. It was something that I have heard pregnant women talk about and thought that sucks I am glad I didn't have that when I was pregnant with Halle. I always felt bad for the people that had it but until you experience it you do not know how painful it really is. Every time I do the simplest things like carry grocery's, vacuum a room, or do the dishes I am major pain that night and the next day I am barley able to walk and anyway I move is very, very, painful. Well needless to say my house has been a complete disaster and it has been driving me crazy. So my wonderful sister asked if she come clean my house and of course I said no because I was so embarrassed to even let her in my house let alone clean it! Well she just showed up at my house this morning and wouldn't take no for an answer. It was exactly what I needed. She came and cleaned and it helped me a SO MUCH. I am so grateful for a sister who knows when to not take no for an answer. Sometimes that is just what you need. I love ya Nikki, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Weekend Get Away!

This weekend we stayed a couple nights in Salt Lake. We went with our friends Whit, Tennille and their kids, and Andrew and Lindsay. If was fun to just get away and relax. We went swimming, to the aquarium, walked around the Temple grounds and just hung out. Halle had so much fun at the aquarium. The penguins there were really active, jumping in and out of the water and the they had stingray that you could pet. I think most of all Halle loved being with all of the kids.

It was the funniest thing. We decided to put Halle down for a nap in the bathroom. We heard her talking in there but just figured that she was playing. When we went to wake her up we found her asleep with the phone in her hand. Yes the bathroom had a phone in it, wierd. Hopefully she didn't call anybody!

Well, it has been forever since I have blogged! I have not taken many pictures because I have been feeling so sick the last couple of months because ..... I am pregnant! I think most everybody knows by now, but now I am feeling better so hopefully I will be posting more pictures. Here is some of the stuff we have done this summer.

We have done a whole lot of swimming. The first couple of times we took Halle she was so scared of the water and wanted nothing to do with it but now she loves it!

Last weekend I was able to go on a kid free trip to St. George! I went with my sisters, Mandy, Tiffany, and Nikki (Angie we missed you!), my sister-in-law Rebecca and my mom. I love these trips because I get to do my 3 favorite things without any interruptions, shop, eat really yummy food, and lay out in the sun. That is pretty much what we did the whole time and it was great! When I go on a trip like this I always come home feeling refreshed. I am so grateful because I have an awesome husband who happily took Halle and let me have a relaxing weekend. There is nothing better then a weekend with the girls!

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter and conference weekend. We colored eggs with Halle. It was a little tricky but she had fun. On Saturday our neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt and the Easter bunny was there. This was her first year doing the egg hunt and she did pretty well. I also was able to watch conference without very many disruptions. Halle is getting older now and plays by herself a lot better, so I could enjoy listening to the talks. On Sunday we went up to Logan and spent the day with Toph's family. We had a yummy dinner, another little birthday celebration for Halle and did one more Easter egg hunt. We haven't been up there for a while so it was good see the family. It was a great relaxing weekend.

Halle's 2nd Birthday!

I can't believe my little girl is 2! I am having so much fun with her. She is such a happy kid. I love seeing her get so excited about everything. She is sooo affectionate, always hugging me and giving me kisses. I laughed the other day because she gave our car tire a hug! She is such a blessing to me and I am so grateful to have her in my life. I don't know what I ever did without her!

For her birthday we gave her a playhouse to put on our patio. She loves being outside even if it is freezing or pouring rain. When she wakes up in the morning the first thing she says is "Outside?" I didn't get a picture of it but about a week ago when it was pouring rain she was begging to go outside, finally I thought since it is raining if I let her go outside she wouldn't want to be wet and come right back in. So I put her hat and coat on and let her go outside. She loved it and played out there for quite some time. She wasn't going to let a little rain storm get in her way!

We also went to Chuck E Cheese with my sisters family. Her little girls, Addison and Madelyn, turn 2 a couple days after Halle. It is so much fun to have our girls so close together. There are the three little amigos. Halle also LOVES my sister's little boy Jaxson. I think she has a crush on him.

Halle loved blowing out the candles. I was impressed at how well she could blow them out.

Toph is a little kid at heart. Halle wanted to play in the jungle gym but she was a little to small to go by herself so Toph got in there with her. He even crawled through all of the tubes and went down the slide!

Trip to China

Toph went to China last week to look at a Dental Lab there. He was gone for about a week and it was kind of hard to find the right time to talk to him. We I woke up in the mornings he was just going to bed. The time difference was crazy. While he was there he went to the Temple District which is where all of the shops are. He got me some really cute jeans and a bunch of other stuff . It is crazy how cheap everything is there. It was a good trip for him but I am so glad he is back!

Toph brought this dress back for Halle. She would not hold still to let me take a picture. She is getting so hard to take pictures. When I tell her to say cheese she closes her eyes and opens her mouth really wide.

Cruise to the Bahamas!

Last week we went on a cruise to the Bahamas. We had so much fun! We went with a big group of twelve and they were all really fun. The weather wasn't the best, but we didn't let that get us down. I got a spray tan before I left because I was so WHITE and I didn't have time to go tanning, so I joke that I was tanner before I left for the cruise than when I got back. On our stop at Nassau we went shopping, went to the beach and went the famous Atlantis hotel. We couldn't make our second stop because it was too windy so we had a "Fun Day at Sea". There was a comedian, and games and I even got Toph out on the dance floor! When we got back to Florida before our flight we went on an air boat in the everglades and saw some alligators. We had a really fun group and laughed a lot. It was so fun to dress up and the dinners were sooo good! It was so nice to get away, have fun and relax.

Cougar Hunting

Toph went cougar hunting this weekend and got one! He said it was the hardest thing he has ever had to do. They had to hike up the steepest hill imaginable in waist deep snow to get to the cougar. Once they got to the cougar, it jumped out of the tree and ran so they had to hike even further. It then jump to another tree and then to another while almost killing one of the dogs in the process. The guy that had the dogs thought it was the biggest cat to be taken in eight years. I'm glad he and everyone else is safe.

We Leave this Thursday to go on a cruise to the Bahamas! I am so excited. This will be the first time we are both leaving Halle so I am a little nervous, but I know she will be in good hands. I will post pictures when we get back.

New Years Day

On New Years Day we went to the the park and went sledding.

This park is awesome, it has a slide that is three stories high.

The slide was really fast and there was no stopping so I had to land on my butt and it really hurt.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning I woke up with the flu. This is the second Christmas in a row where I was sick. Hopefully it doesn't become a tradition. So, I didn't get very many pictures. I was barley able to get up and watch Halle open up her presents. I do have to say that she LOVED her presents and we didn't hear a peep out of her the rest of the day because she was so busy playing with all of her new toys.

The first thing she saw when she came down stairs was the car. She immediately got in the car and started playing. We had a hard time getting her to open up any of the other presents so next year we will hide the big toys until the very end.

It snowed for the first time this year on Saturday. We thought we would go out and play in it, but by the time we finished the snowman there was no snow left. I guess we jumped the gun a little.

This year Halle did not want to wear her costume. She threw a temper tantrum every time I tried to put it on. We finally got her to keep it on and were able to take a couple of pictures. She did love greeting all of the trick or treaters that came though.

I thought that once it got cold Halle wouldn't want to go outside but I was wrong. It doesn't matter how cold it has been we have to go outside everyday. She sits at the door and waves until we go outside (when she waves it means she wants to leave).

Anniversery Weekend

This weekend Toph, Halle and I went up to Salt Lake and stayed a couple of nights for our 4 year anniversary. We went swimming at the hotel. We also went to the Hogle Zoo. Halle was probably a little to young to enjoy the animals but we had a lot of fun. The weather was perfect! It was overcast and there was a slight breeze so it wasn't too hot. There was also a baby elephant and some baby cubs which were really cute. We then went on the train ride at the "This is the place" monument. It ended up being a really fun and relaxing weekend!

Halle will no longer sit in a highchair. I didn't think we would be able to go to any restaurants this weekend, but we found that she will sit for quite a while with a booster seat.

We were going to put Halle's feet in the river but when I put my feet it the water was so cold they instantly turned numb.

It has been a while since I have posted. Our computer wasn't working and it took a little while to get it up and running again. Also we have been really busy with home improvements. We recently put a cement patio in our backyard. It is so nice to have because Halle LOVES being outside. She would play outside all day if she could. We also had to repaint our deck and we put shudders on our house which was a little tricky but now we are finally done! We had a good Memorial day. We had breakfast with my family at the park which I didn't think was going to happen because of the rain we had all weekend, but Monday ended up being a beautiful day.

Girls Weekend!

Last weekend my sisters, mom, and I went to St. George for a girls weekend. This was my first weekend away from Halle and well, it ended up being a little stressful. When I left her Friday morning she seemed fine. She acted like she had a little bit of a cold and had been teething which was really painful for her, but she seemed good. By Friday night she had a temperature of 103 degrees! I felt so horrible. I wished I was there to take care of her when she was so sick. There is no worse feeling to then to have your baby sick and you can't be there or do anything for her. Only one other time has she had a temperature that high and it was scary. Luckly a few hours later her fever broke and she was starting to feel better. Toph had taken her up to Logan so she had plenty of people taking care of her. Thanks, Winnan and Mandy you guys helped a ton!

Even though she was sick and I was thinking about her the whole time I had so much fun. The weather was beautiful in St. George. We left Pleasant Grove when it was snowing a freezing and then came warm, sunny weather. We layed in the sun for hours. I even got a sunburn! We shopped and shopped and shopped and ate yummy food. Those are my favorite things to do on vacation. It was definiatly a girls vacation! The only thing that was missing was my sister Mandy. She couldn't go this time and she was missed! Also thanks to Toph for doing such a good job with Halle. Your the best husband!

Halle had her first Birthday! She had a lot of fun digging into her cake. At the beginning she was barley touching the cake but once she got used to it, she dug right in!

She was more interested in the balloons then the presents.

I tied the balloons to her highchair and at first she didn't like them. She didn't know what to do with them. It was pretty funny watching her get them out of her face.

Every year my family goes to the cemetery to visit my both of my grandpas. We tell stories about them and all of the kids get a balloon to let go of. It's nice to get together and reminisce.

We decided to give Halle a sucker for the first time. She LOVED it, but I didn't realize what a mess suckers can be! This was after she finished the sucker. Needless to say, it was bath time.

In this picture Halle is with her twin cousins, Addy and Maddy. Halle didn't like the feel of the tutu so she wouldn't put her arms down. I kept pushing them down and she would lift them right back up.

This week I went and got Halle's pictures taken. Last time I got her pictures she did really good so I wasn't worried. Well I should have been. It was soooo hard. The girl who took her pictures had some really cute props but Halle refused to sit in any of them. She wouldn't smile, she wouldn't sit still for more then two seconds and the cute flowers that are in the pictures, she wouldn't stop eating them. She was putting the flowers in her mouth, biting off the petals and chewing on them. I didn't think any of them would turn out but I got some cute ones.

This year we spent Christmas up in Logan with Toph's family. We had a blast! We got a Nintendo Wii and ended up playing that the whole time. This was Halle's first Christmas so she didn't know what was going on but we did get her some presents to try and open. Halle was also teething during Christmas so she wasn't feeling very good and she is a drooling mess! Her first tooth came and it was rough, but I hope it gets easier! Halle is also now crawling. It is the best! She can get to the places she wants and she entertains herself for a lot longer.

'Tis The Season

Halle is 8 months now and she is at the best age! Sometimes I get anxious for her to crawl but it is nice to be able to put her on the floor and just let her play without getting into everything, so I am just enjoying it.

This year Toph and I decided to buy a prelit tree. Well, it was more like I convinced Toph to buy a tree. If any of you know Toph you know he doesn't like to spend money on ANYTHING!

So yes, I am one of those Twilight fans! My sisters, mom, and I decided if we were going to go to Twilight, we would do it right. We went to the midnight show so we went out to eat to Tempanyaki before because it was also my 24th birthday. We wore matching t-shirts. I know a little embarrassing, but fun. We got to the movie theater about 2 hours early to find a LONG line outside. People had been waiting there since 11:00 that morning. (At least I am not that obsessed!) We waited in the cold but ended up with a pretty good seats. I don't know if the movie lead up to all the hype, but all in all we had a BLAST!

Dinner at Tempanyaki Me and Mandy- We are the true Twilight fans! Me and Nikki- She was smart to bring a warm jacket. She looked like an Eskimo! Me and my mom-she was a sport staying up until 2:30 a.m! Me and Angie-Even though she is 9 months pregnant
she stood in line like a champ without complaining once!

Our Little Cookie Monster! Halle is starting to eat solids. This is the first time she had a cookie. She was a mess but had a lot of fun!

Halle is 5 1/2 months old now. She is always smiling and laughing. She is rolling all around the floor. She can sit up by herself for about 2 seconds and then falls over. She is so much fun!
